Pepvote Changelog
What we have shipped, in the order it shipped. New ways to vote, sharper results, and the small fixes that make an election day quieter.
Members find the event and cast a vote inside the chat.
If your members organise on Telegram, they can look up an event and vote right there without opening a browser.
Votes cast this way are marked as coming from Telegram in your logs, and anyone on an older client is handed to the browser instead.
Approval, score, cumulative, and quadratic join the ballot.
Not every decision is one person, one pick. Four more voting methods are now available per position.
Approval lets a member back everyone they find acceptable. Score rates each candidate on a scale. Cumulative hands out a pool of votes to spread as they like. Quadratic gives each member a credit budget where piling votes on one candidate costs progressively more, with paid top-ups if you want them.
Each position carries its own selection rules, and your totals and result statistics follow the method you chose. The glossary explains what each one suits.
Ballot, voters, votes, timeline, plan, and pricing together.
Settings that were scattered across the event now sit in one workspace, covering the ballot, voters, votes, your timeline, your plan, and pricing.
You can also change the email address on your account, with a confirmation step and a note to the old address.
Link Stripe or Paystack, and price in a currency that works.
Pay to vote and pay to register are no longer card-only through one provider.
Link a Stripe or a Paystack business and we offer what your country supports, price in a currency that works there, and show you a payout preview before you commit.
Embedding a ballot in your own site is simpler too: paste one snippet instead of managing a link.
Turn an awards night or a fundraiser into income.
Set a price per vote or a fee for a candidate to enter, connect a payout account, and your members pay on the ballot itself.
Links you share look right now too. Every public voting page carries its own preview image and title, so an event posted to WhatsApp or X shows what it is instead of a blank card.
A public link for every event, and an embed for your own page.
Every voting event has a public link you can send out, and the ballot can be embedded into your own page so members vote without leaving your site.
Guides for setup, voters, candidates, ballots, results, and billing.
Stuck at eleven at night before an election opens? The support center covers setup, voters, candidates, ballots, results, and billing, with screenshots, pricing answers, and search.
Pepvote also got a fresh look at the same time, across the logo, the colours, our emails, and the public site.
Weighted voting, plus a nudge when a long job finishes.
Some constitutions give a branch, a category, or a life member more than one vote. Weighted voting lets a member's ballot count for more, set on import or one at a time, and carried through to the result.
Notifications also tell you when an import or export has finished and when something important happens on your event, so you are not sat watching the page.
A checklist that ticks itself off as you set up.
A checklist on every voting event tracks what still needs doing before you can open voting, and ticks itself off as you go.
Each table has its own settings too, so candidates, voters, positions, groups, sponsors, votes, and result reporting are set up where you manage them. Candidates and voters registering in public no longer have to type an event code either. The link already knows which event they are joining.
An interactive demo, and a new site to go with it.
Walk through a ballot, a poll, and a result page in your browser with the interactive demo. No account, no setup.
Pepvote.com was rebuilt around it, with new Features and Pricing pages and dedicated pages for schools, organizations, and awards.
Bring candidates, positions, and voters across from a previous one.
Running the same election every year? Import it from the last one. Groups come across, you can change candidates, positions, and voters as they arrive, and you can email invites to the people you brought over.
Bad email addresses are flagged as you go and a failed email can be sent again rather than quietly lost. Clearing out a large list runs in the background, so it no longer times out on you.
Split a long ballot, and show members what to expect.
A ballot with twenty positions does not have to be one endless page. Split it into steps, and give members a public preview so they know what is coming before voting opens.
You can also ask candidates in a draft or upcoming event to upload their own photo through a link, instead of chasing files over WhatsApp.
Matriculation numbers, staff IDs, or any code you use.
Not every organisation has an email address for every member. Voters can now be identified by a matriculation number, a staff ID, or any code you already use, and a voting links page gathers everything you need to hand out.
Signing in is protected against bots, your event timeline is checked so you cannot save an end before a start, and result breakdowns show more of the picture.
Their logos on the ballot and the public pages.
Somebody paid for the venue. Add sponsors to your voting event and their logos appear on the ballot and the public pages.
Members also get a clear confirmation once their vote is in, instead of wondering whether it went through.
Elections, polls, and awards. Set up in minutes, free to start.
